Function of the Unit

When external temperatures exceed grain temperatures and humidity increases, natural ventilation should be promptly stopped in favor of mechanical ventilation. The grain storage cooling and refrigeration air unit delivers dehumidified, refrigerated, fresh cold air into the storage, mechanically cooling the grains, food, and other stored items. Grain Cooling Principle

The cooled air from the unit enters the storage through the air inlet at the base of the grain pile, spreading upward or outward. As the air passes through the grain, it reduces the temperature. The air then returns via ducts to the unit for re-cooling and recycling. Within a certain period, the grain temperature drops to the preservation level.

Grain Surface Temperature Control Principle

During summer and autumn, high external temperatures raise the surface space temperature, affecting the grain. The surface temperature control unit primarily cools the upper grain surface space, maintaining the internal temperature below 18°C to ensure the grain pile remains at an average low temperature. The unit requires air supply and return ducts to extract air from the storage, cycle it through the unit for cooling, and effectively control the temperature and humidity inside.
